Team Up Mentoring: Binder Drive

Team up mentoring is in need of 100 1in 3 ring binders for students by the end of February. Binders can be dropped off under the welcome table. If you do not have an opportunity to buy binders, donations would be just as helpful. You can make checks out to Redeeming Grace, and under the memo line of the check, you can write Binder Drive. Thank you so much for your participation!

Team Up Mentoring Summer Camp Food Drive

Team Up Mentoring, based in Monroe, is a program dedicated to nurturing at-risk youth of Walton County. With grace and kindness, the staff at Team Up encourages and teaches children to make healthy choices, get involved in their communities, eventually growing and reaching success in their lives.

This year, Team Up Is hosting a weekly summer camp for pre-k, elementary, and middle school students in the program. The camp will last all summer, where they will be fed, play Bible games, do science experiments, and participate in fun summer activities like swimming and basketball. Lunch will be provided for the students by other gracious churches and organizations in the area, but the breakfast is left up to them to provide. With this said, Redeeming Grace has decided to host a breakfast food drive for Team Up.

Items and food needed to provide breakfast for the vast number of children at the camp throughout the summer include:

  • Cereal/granola bars
  • Paper/Styrofoam plates and bowls
  • Pop Tarts
  • Cereal (single-serve bowls are preferred)
  • Pre-packaged muffins, donuts, etc.
  • Peanut Butter
  • Crackers
  • Other non-perishable breakfast foods (no milk or bread yet, please!)

The food drive will officially begin Sunday, March 23rd and last through the summer as there is need, but donations are certainly welcome before then. Bring your donations every Sunday and drop them off at the designated drop-off area at the entrance (under the welcome table).
If you would like to donate money instead (cash or check- make checks payable to Redeeming Grace Community Church), place your envelope in the designated offering plate for Team Up Mentoring.
We ask our members to be committed to praying for Team Up, especially during their summer camp, that the Lord would use their ministry to reach kids in a mighty way.
